Halve or quarter potatoes depending on whether you are using a steamer basket or trivet
Place the potatoes in the basket and sprinkle with salt
Put the lid on the pressure cooker and set to sealing
Cook on high pressure for 4 minutes for quartered and 6 minutes for halved
When the machine beeps do a quick pressure release
Carefully place the potatoes in a bowl and add the butter, milk, Parmesan cheese, and chives
Mash using a potato masher or hand mixer adding more milk if desired
Cooking time is once the pressure cooker comes to pressure which varies by each machine. Mine normally takes right about 15 minutes from turning on to having mashed potatoes on the table.
