French Toast

Ingredients

  • 12-16 thick slices of bread. I used Brioche but Texas Toast or regular French bread would work as well
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups of milk
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 500 degrees.
  2. Grease 2 large baking sheets or line with silicone mats.
  3. In a shallow dish beat eggs well then add milk, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt.
  4. Dip bread slices in egg mixture and place on prepared baking sheets.
  5. Bake for 5 minutes or until golden brown on bottom.
  6. Flip and cook another 3-4 minutes or until golden on the bottom.
  7. Serve hot with butter and syrup or powdered sugar.

To freeze:

  1. Cool completely on wire racks
  2. Place single layers on baking sheets and freeze until solid. This will take about two hours
  3. Place in labeled freezer bags or containers
  4. When ready to serve bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes or until hot
