White Chocolate Strawberry Shortcake Trifle

  • 1 2 layer yellow cake mix plus eggs, oil, and water called for on package
  • 1 pound strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 3.5 ounce boxes instant white chocolate pudding
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 8 ounce containers whipped topping thawed


  1. Make cake mix according to the box's instructions. Bake in a 9X13 inch pan and cool completely

  2. Mix the strawberries, sugar, and vanilla together. Refrigerate while cake bakes and cools

  3. Whisk the pudding mixes and milk together until soft set

  4. Cut the cake into one-inch cubes

  5. Layer one-third each of the cake, strawberries, pudding, and whipped topping in a trifle dish or large bowl. 

  6. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used

  7. Cover with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator
