  • 1 Tablespoon oil
  • 8 cups chopped cabbage
  • 1 cup water
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste


  1. Heat oil in a large skillet with a lid over moderate heat 

  2. Add cabbage, stir to coat with oil, and cook for 5 minutes or until lightly browned 

  3. Pour water over cabbage, cover, and cook on medium low heat until the cabbage is tender and water has cooked off 

  4. Season with salt and pepper and serve
