Restaurant Style Breadsticks

Ingredients

For the breadsticks:

  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 1/8 teaspoon yeast
  • 1 Tablespoon butter melted
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt

For the garlic butter:

  • 1 Tablespoon butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

For the breadsticks:

  1. Combine the water, yeast and sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer, Let it sit for 10 minutes or until foamy.
  2. Stir in the flour, butter, and salt using the hook attachment. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape into eight sticks, place on a greased or sprayed baking sheet and cover with oiled or sprayed plastic wrap. Let rest for 45 minutes.
  4. Remove plastic wrap and bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for seven minutes.
  5. Brush with garlic butter and bake for 8 minutes more or until lightly browned.

For the garlic butter:

  1. Combine the melted butter, salt, and garlic powder.
