What’s On Our Table Pantry Challenge Week Two

It’s time for another pantry challenge week. I know I just did one in January but find doing one, maybe two weeks every four to eight weeks instead of a big one once or twice a year works better for us.

You’ll notice that I am making soup three times this week for a couple of reasons. One, soup is pretty cheap to make and two we love soup.

Pantry Challenge Menu Plan:

  • Wednesday: Italian Wedding Soup and Garlic Parmesan Breadsticks
  • Thursday: Tostadas Yes this is a carryover from last week
  • Friday: Potatoes Stroganoff Casserole and Salad. Another carryover
  • Saturday: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and a vegetable
  • Sunday: Potato Soup and Brioche rolls
  • Monday: Salisbury steaks, mashed potatoes, and a veggie
  • Tuesday: Sopa de fideo and salad

 

 

Pantry Challenge Grocery Haul:

Aldi:

    • 2 loaves white bread
    • bag of spinach
    • half gallon 2% milk
    • Margarine
    • Marshmallows
    • Cheddar cheese
    • Parmesan Cheese
    • Corn tortillas
    • 2 tomato sauce
    • Breadcrumbs

Total $15

Walmart:

  • Fideos

Total $0.30. Yes that is 30 cents.

Publix:

I’m not normally a Publix shopper unless it’s for specific items. This week I needed either Pastina or Orzo for the Italian Wedding Soup and Walmart didn’t have them. Publix did and they were on sale which is awesome.
