The Best of … Kid Friendly Recipes

I am taking this week off of posting new recipes so I can work on my 31 Days series. I’m not going to leave you hanging for the next three days so I’m declaring this “the best of…..” week and showcasing some of the previous 125+ recipes on Cookin’ Mimi. I may even toss in a few links from other blogs.

One of my favorite things to do with my niece and nephew is cook. They also love to help. It doesn’t matter how engrossed in playing they are if they hear my mixer start up they both make a beeline for the kitchen to see what Aunt Mimi is making.

Today I am sharing some of my favorite things to make with and for the kids in your life.

Butter Cookies These are great because all you need is a bowl and a spoon. Plus there are no eggs so you don’t have to worry about any dough that might jump in their mouth while you aren’t looking.
Flour Tortillas If you don’t mind having oddly shaped tortillas let your child roll out the dough. This is one of the nephew’s favorite things to do.
Red, White and Blue Cookies This is one to do when you have plenty of time to clean up. The icing and sprinkles can get a bit messy but they are fun to make and eat. 🙂
How cute is this Apple Turtle from Kitchen Fun with My 3 Sons?
