Sour Cream and Chive Mashed Potatoes #SundaySupper

These easy sour cream and chive mashed potatoes are a simple way to add a special touch to your holiday meal.

Fancy enough for a holiday, easy enough for a Tuesday sour cream and chive mashed potatoes are versatile. #SundaySupper

The holiday season is upon us. I love this time of year because it gives me a chance to make those special recipes that only make an appearance during holiday celebrations.

We have already done our family Thanksgiving dinner. Because of work and various other family commitments we decided to have it early. My mom and I will have a smaller dinner on Thanksgiving day so I get my favorites more than once.

These sour cream and chive mashed potatoes are house famous. Whenever I announce I’m making these I hear sounds of delight. Unless, it’s one of the bigger auntlings. They won’t touch the mashed potatoes with green stuff in it.

These simple potatoes take only five ingredients and not much more time than your usual mashed potatoes. You can use either fresh or dried chives and the finished recipe will still taste great.

  1. Mashed potatoes with sour cream and chives are classic! Perfect for a holiday side dish.

  2. I love how you’ve fancied-up plain mashed potatoes with very little extra effort. They look yummy!

  3. I have started having a play around with different mashed potato, its nice just to give them that extra flavour. I have not tried sour cream and chives but can just imagine it tastes really nice.

Ill have to give it a go, thanks alot!
