Ranch Chicken and Noodles: Secret Recipe Club

Ranch Chicken and Noodles is an easy and delicious recipe perfect for busy nights. Just add a green vegetable or salad.

This month for Secret Recipe Club I was given a blog I am very familiar with: The Daily Dish Recipes.  I first met Nicole back in July of 2011 during a 31 Days to Build a Better Blog group and we became fast friends.

I had a hard time deciding what to make this month because Nicole has so many delicious recipes. I had originally planned to make a variation on her Éclair Cupcakes but I got sick so that has been postponed for a couple of weeks.

I ended up making her recipe for Easy Chicken and Noodles with a couple of changes because of a family member who doesn’t like the combo of chicken and cheese.  Instead of the Parmesan called for in the original recipe I was inspired by mine and Nicole’s mutual love of Ranch mix to add that to the gravy mixture for added flavor. I also added sautéed onions and garlic because almost all savory recipes I make contain onions and garlic.

  1. Yum! Sounds fantastic. I like the combo of chicken and ranch.

  2. This looks so good! I love ranch and that would be a great addition to a pasta dish.

  3. So sorry to hear that you have to cook for people who don’t like cheese on their chicken! 🙂 I would have a hard time with that. I love your swap with the ranch dressing though. Good idea. I think there’s a tiny typo in your recipe. I’m guessing “dressing milk” should be “dressing mix”.

  4. This just made my entire day. First, I’m so happy you had me this month! You were one of the best things that came out of that blogging challenge, my friend. Second, I forgot all about this recipe – good call on adding the ranch mix – no doubt that would flavor it up and be wonderful. And I add onion and garlic to everything too. My goodness – I probably should make this again – I really don’t think I’ve made it since my kids were young. Yikes! haha

Third, I am so sorry you’ve been sick 🙁 I hope you are feeling better by now? Those Eclair cupcakes can wait, but when you do make them – you’ll LOVE them.

And no cheese and chicken? That’s an interesting thing not to like. haha
Thanks for choosing this recipe. This was a good one.

  5. Such an easy and delicious sounding recipe.

If you haven’t already, I’d love for you to check out my SRC entry: Thai Peanut Noodles with Chicken.

  6. Yum, that sounds good!

  7. This recipe would be great comfort food on a cold night!
