Pressure Cooker Penne with Meat Sauce

Pressure Cooker Penne with Meat Sauce is an easy all in one main dish.

Pressure Cooker Penne with Meat Sauce

We love pasta. Seriously, we could eat pasta four or five times a week. Especially the nephews.

The first time I made this was for my nephew’s birthday celebration a few months ago. That time I made it with rigatoni because that’s what I had at the time.

Every single person in my family loved this. Even with the mushrooms. If your kids are picky try dicing them finely and they aren’t as noticeable.

One thing you need to make sure of is not to overfill the pot. With pasta and other starchy foods, it shouldn’t be more than halfway filled.

Easy Garlic Toast Buns, salad

This is a little more involved than many of my other Instant Pot recipes but it’s still super easy. You still have to brown the meat no matter how you make it and we all like the one pot version best.

  5. Turn the pot off

  6. Add the pasta, sauce, and water

  7. Cover and set to sealing

  8. Cook on high pressure for 8 minutes

  9. Once the timer beeps, carefully vent the pressure by opening and closing the valve several times, stir and serve

Recipe Notes

While we used penne you could use any short cut of pasta. Rigatoni, ziti, or any other tube pasta would be great.
