Jalapeno Dill Tartar Sauce

Jalapeno Dill Tartar Sauce is easy and so flavorful.

Jalapeno Dill Tartar Sauce

This is a copycat of something we tried from Trader Joe’s a couple of years ago. The flavor was spot on but we didn’t care for the consistency. It was too thick and gloopy.

Me being me I decided to try my hand at making homemade tartar sauce. I had never made tartar sauce before this and I am kicking myself for taking so long. The Jalapeno Dill Tartar Sauce was amazing.

You just need a few simple ingredients and about five minutes of hands-on time. For the simplicity of the ingredients, there is so much flavor.

I used hot jalapenos since none of the auntlings like fish other than tuna salad. If your kids aren’t like my niece and nephews you can find mild or “tame” jalapenos that give the flavor of jalapenos without the heat.

This is actually a great recipe to make with your kids. Just chop everything and let your kids give it a stir. My youngest nephew has been on a kick about helping me cook and actually helped make this batch of sauce. I diced everything and put it the measuring cup I used for the mayo and let him drop everything into the bowl and stir.

This makes a pretty good sauce for chicken fingers as well. I discovered that once when we had more sauce than fish and I had chicken tenders for lunch the next day.

Panko Crusted Pollock, Salmon Burgers, or Tuna Patties all taste amazing with Jalapeno Dill Tartar Sauce.
