Harvest Muddy Buddies

Harvest Muddy Buddies are a great Fall snack. Simple to make and fun to eat

Fall is finally here and you may be looking for easy snacks for Saturday game days, cozy movie nights, or just to munch on while watching new episodes of your favorite TV shows.

A great big bowl of Harvest Puppy Chow would be appropriate for any of those occasions.

How To Make Harvest Muddy Buddies:

First, gather the ingredients

Rice or  corn cereal squares

milk chocolate chips

creamy peanut butter

powdered sugar

Reese’s pieces candy

After you have your ingredients gathered

Measure the cereal into a large bowl

Melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter in a double boiler or the microwave

Pour the chocolate and peanut butter over the cereal and stir to coat

Add powder sugar to a zip-top bag or large bowl with lid and pour cereal on top

Shake to coat with sugar

Pour on to a cookie sheet to dry and set

Add candy pieces and store in an airtight container

Can I Add Other Candies to the Harvest Muddy Buddies?

Certainly! Candy Corn, Candy Pumpkins, M&Ms and more would work. I just stuck with  Reese’s Pieces because I love them and the colors seemed appropriate.
