15 Inexpensive Side Dishes

15 Inexpensive Side Dishes from www.cookingmimi.com

Side dishes can liven up even the most basic main dish. Here are 15 inexpensive side dishes to add to your rotation.

We have a tendency to eat the same basic side dishes frequently. I make mashed potatoes regularly but I like to change them up by adding different cheeses or herbs. Rice is another staple. During the summer potato and pasta salads grace our dinner plates because they are great with grilled foods.

On the veggie front broccoli and corn are year round staples because the frozen is just as tasty as the fresh during the off season. Cabbage is cheap all year long here so I might fry it, roast it or make slaw.

I’m always on the look out for new ways to serve our favorites. This collection has family pleaser written all over it.
