What’s On Our Table Week 9

After taking most of the summer off from menu planning, I’m back. We ate a ton of ground beef tacos and spaghetti with sandwiches and other quick and easy thrown together dinners filling in the gaps.

Now, with school starting back soon which means that the kidlets will be at their home during the week, I am back in meal planning mode.

One thing I’m doing this week is doubling up a bit on the cooking. We’re having the steaks for dinner tonight and while I already have the grill hot I’m going toss the chicken and veggie foil packets on the grill. That means tomorrow all I will have to do is warm them up. I’m also going to make some extra pizzas to have for lunch the next couple of days.

Dinner:

  • Steak, baked potatoes, salad, and macaroni and cheese This was requested by the oldest nephew and I like grilling so I’m happy to indulge in a steak dinner. Plus all of the local grocery stores have some type of steak on special this week so my grocery budget will be happy as well.
  • Chicken and vegetable foil packets on the grill
  • Ground beef tacos, pressure cooker seasoned pinto beans
  • Grilled pizza, salad
  • Slow Cooker Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, green beans
  • Hamburgers, bacon cheese fries, and salad
  • Slow cooker French toast casserole, fruit

Breakfast:

  • Cereal
  • Oatmeal
  • Peanut butter toast and fruit
  • Leftover French toast casserole

Lunch

  • Lunch meat sandwiches
  • Grilled cheese sandwiches
  • Leftovers
