What’s On Our Table Week 10

What’s On Our Table is a peek at my real life menu plan.

What's On Our Table

Even though the thermometer says Summer, Fall is happening in the kitchen this week. I’ve been craving some comfort food in the form of chili and similar food so this week’s menu is filled with those types of recipes.

This week is going to be busy so I’m saving time where I can. That means I’m doing a few cook once, eat two or even three times recipes.

Doing weeks where I cook this way saves both time and money and also cuts down on food waste because there usually isn’t anything to toss out.

One of the reasons there aren’t many already linked recipes is because I am making and photographing new recipes to add during September and October. That’s one of the odd things about being a food blogger. You may be cooking Christmas recipes in August and summer dishes in February

That’s one of the odd things about being a food blogger. You may be cooking Christmas recipes in August and summer dishes in February so you’re not cooking something one day and posting it the next. Or in some cases later that day. I’ve been guilty of that.

I’m trying to get ahead so I can take all of December off other than scheduling Friday Frenzy each week. There will still be recipes posting they will just have been scheduled ahead of time. That means over the next couple of months the menus will have some unusual for the time of year recipes.
