Here’s another week of  ideas for your supper. I pulled a couple of this week’s recipes from way back in the archives. You’ll have to overlook the photos they aren’t the best but the recipes still taste great.

Two of the recipes are slow cooker. If you use my sloppy Joe recipe for the sloppy Joe stuffed potatoes that ups it to three slow cooker meals. The others are stove top because it’s getting to the time of year when turning the oven on is the last thing you want to do.  To avoid the oven for the potatoes just cook them in your slow cooker, if you’re cooking the sloppy Joes in there just place the well scrubbed potatoes on top of the meat. You might need to cook a bit longer than the recipe calls for but you won’t heat up your house as much.

Shredded Pork Burritos, chips and salsa

Cajun Chicken Pasta, salad, green veggie

Ground Beef Stroganoff, green veggie

Cajun Style Steaks, rice, favorite veggie

Sloppy Joe Stuffed Potatoes, salad

4-5 Onions

Garlic

8 ounces small mushrooms. Something like white button or baby Bellas

4-6 baking potatoes


Dairy and Refrigerated

16 ounce container sour cream

8-16 ounces cheese. Shredded or block of your choice

Butter

Half pint(eight ounces) heavy cream


Canned and Dry Goods

Rice

Rotel

14 ounce can diced tomatoes

Low sodium beef broth

Ketchup

Yellow Mustard

Egg noodles

Mild salsa

8-12 ounces pasta

Chicken broth

8 ounce can tomato sauce

Flour tortillas


Meats

1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 pound round steak

2-3 pounds ground beef

2-3 pound boneless pork roast


Baking Staples and Spices

Brown Sugar

All Purpose flour

Dried oregano

Cajun seasoning

Quick cooking tapioca

Salt

Black Pepper
