Budget Friendly Menu Day Two

 Breakfast:

Peanut butter sandwich and a glass of milk.

Bread was $.28 and peanut butter was $.16. The milk was a $.19 which brings breakfast to a total of $.63. I’ve never been able to eat a big meal first thing so this is actually a pretty typical breakfast for me. Sometimes I make PB on toast. I was the only one here when I had breakfast so this was a meal for one.

Lunch:

Budget Friendly Menu Day Two: Pasta Salad

Pasta salad and a breadstick. The pasta salad was 67 cents a serving and the breadsticks were 18 cents each so lunch was 1.70 for two people.

Snack:

Pepper Jack cheese cubes. 3 ounces of that was about $.70

Dinner:

Chicken and potato casserole, salad.

The casserole which has hashbrowns, cooked cubed chicken, and broccoli in a homemade cheese sauce was $4.98 for a 9 by 13 inch casserole which is usually 8-10 servings depending on how large of a portion you serve. I’m going with eight servings for $.63 a serving

Salad contained 33 cents worth of lettuce, 20 cents tomato, 9 cents red onion, and about 25 cents worth of dressing for a total of $.87

Dinner Total was  2.13 for two people. The other 6 servings are being frozen for later meals.

Grand Total for Budget Friendly Menu Day Two:

$5.16
