One of the downsides of blogging is the ability to create an illusion of perfection. You see the finished crafts, recipes, or DIY projects but you don’t see the laundry basket of clothes that need to be folded and put away or the sink filled with dishes that need to be washed.
I’ll be the first person to tell you I am absolutely nowhere near perfect. That’s why I’m writing this post about four hours before it needs to go live. And y’all wouldn’t believe how many times I make my menu and grocery list while at the store. And I have to admit that I use instant potatoes for more things than gnocchi
Not every recipe I make turns out amazing. In the picture above I decided that I didn’t need to use parchment paper to line the baking sheet because “nothing ever sticks to that pan.” Famous last words. I had to soak the pan in water to get it clean. I’m also not a stranger to going out for fast food on the nights when even something as simple as sandwiches are too much effort.
Just remember if you get discouraged while reading your favorite blogs that the people behind them struggle with many of the same issues that you do plus a few more that are a bit more blogger specific. Like reheating an ice cold dinner because it took forever to get just the right picture for the blog.
