4 Blogs for Cooking at Home

Good Cheap Eats
I have been a long time reader of Jessica’s blog and own three of her cookbooks. In fact I have a review of Not Your Mother’s Make Ahead and Freeze. Jessica has a more real foods approach than I do but her recipes are still super easy.

She has a lot of Mexican inspired recipes which makes me happy because I grew up in Southern California like she did.

Favorites from her blog include:
Jalapeño Burn Pizza

Lemonade Like Chick Fil A

Mel’s Kitchen Cafe

I have a few adaptations of Mel’s recipes here on Cookin’ Mimi. In fact the Homemade Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup is tweaked from one of her recipes.

She is one of my go to blogs when I want to try a from scratch version of a convenience food. I can almost always find what I need in one of her hundreds of recipes.

Drool worthy Mel’s Kitchen Cafe Recipes:
Skillet Taco Pie
Lemon Pudding Cake
Chantilly Potatoes

Jamie Cooks it Up!
I cannot look at Jamie’s blog if I am hungry. Her pictures make me wish I had a big serving of what she has posted. Since she lives in the Salt Lake City area she has several Utah restaurant copycat recipes.

She always has seasonal and holiday recipes in her sidebar. Another thing is she uses her slow cookers fairly often and has some delicious slow cooking recipes.

Tastiness from Jamie
Pumpkin Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Shredded Mexican Beef
Sheet Pan BBQ Chicken and Roasted Potatoes

Mommy’s Kitchen

Tina is one of my oldest and dearest blogging buddies. She is also a fellow southern gal. On her blog you will find lots of family favorite recipes, comfort food, and southern classics.

Favorites from Tina:
No Peek Beef Tips
City Chicken
Apple Pie Pull Apart Bread
