Buffalo chicken pizza is one of my favorites so when I found out the theme for this week’s #SundaySupper was Spice it Up I knew exactly was I was going to make.
The pizza is pretty easy to make. It’s half a recipe of my whole wheat pizza dough, chopped or shredded cooked chicken tossed in prepared buffalo sauce, and topped with a blend of cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
- 1/2 batch whole wheat pizza dough
- 2 cups shredded or chopped cooked chicken
- 1/2 cup prepared buffalo sauce
- 1 1/2 to 2 cups shredded cheese. I used a blend of mozzarella and cheddar but you can use just mozzarella
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Spray a 12 inch pizza pan and sprinkle with corn meal. Press dough into pan.
- Toss chicken with buffalo sauce and add to the crust.
- Sprinkle cheese over chicken.
- Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden and crisp.
